Description
- Radio Navigation System providing VOR, localizer, glideslope, and marker beacon outputs and VOR/ADF display for general aviation aircraft
- Has 200 VOR/LOC channels and 40 glideslope channels
- Compatible with standard 2-out-of-5 control units
- Provides navigation outputs to interface with pictorial navigation systems, analog area navigation systems, and conventional flight control systems
- Supplies automatic/manual VOR information
- Supplies localizer and glideslope deviation outputs
- Supplies high and low level flag signals, to/from information, marker beacon lamp signals, and VOR, localizer, and marker beacon audio outputs
- Provides sine/cosine VOR outputs to drive RMI-30
- Can be used with either 313N-4 series analog controls or CTL-30 and CTL-32 (w/ CAD adapter) digital controls
- Can be used with 3-wire synchro type RMI with use of 699Z-1 RMI adapter
- Models available with rotor modification for operation in helicopters (see table below)
- Models available with different combinations of included or excluded glideslope receiver or marker beacon receiver (see table below)
- Model available with modification to meet ICAO Annex 10 for reduction of FM interference by high-power FM broadcast radio stations (see table below)
- Can be directly replaced by the VIR-32 (rack & connector remain the same), however you must also install a CTL-32 Control and CAD-31 Adapter when replacing the VIR-30A.
